Horizon Health in Aberdeen, SD is seeking a full-time Receptionist/Interpreter who will play a key role at Horizon Health as they present the first impression of the organization to patients and as they serve as a liaison between the patient and medical support by providing bilingual interpretation for the patient visit. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Provide customer service that ensures the patient experience from beginning to end of appointment is focused on service rooted in Horizon Health values, while also successfully dealing with patient grievances, concerns or complaints that may surface while serving as a liaison between patient and medical support ensuring accurate bilingual interpretation; facilitate cross-cultural communication between clinic staff and the patients.
  • Manage the appointment schedule effectively to ensure appointments are scheduled for appropriate lengths of time and with the appropriate provider following organizational guidelines. 
  • Collect and verify patient demographic information including name, address, insurance information and other registration forms in a private and confidential manner. 
  • Communicate clear financial expectations to the patient, collect co-pays and patient balances, coordinate payment plans and be a successful steward of resources as a part of the revenue cycle.
